Billing FAQ
We have recently updated our One-Time Guest Payment feature to improve your experience. This page outlines additional changes made to our billing experience.
1. How will payments appear on my statement?
This transaction may appear on your bank statement as Farmers Automobile Insurance Association.
However, Pekin Insurance is comprised of four different companies. Depending on your insurance product and your banking institution, your payment transaction may appear under one of the following names:
- The Farmers Automobile Insurance Association (FAIA)
- Pekin Insurance Company (PIC)
- Pekin Select Insurance Company (PSIC)
- Pekin Life Insurance Company (PLIC)
You may read more about our company structure here.
2. How can I make a one-time payment?
We have enhanced our one-time payment experience to make it more secure, user-friendly, and mobile-friendly. You can pay online via our secure web interface with our third-party payment vendor, One Inc.
Payment Options include:
Credit/Debit Card: A 2.99% transaction fee applies, paid directly to One Inc. Pekin Insurance does not receive any portion of this fee.
Checking or Savings Account: No transaction fee is charged.
3. Why is the Pay by Phone option no longer available?
The Pay by Phone option was discontinued due to low usage. You can still make payments by mailing a check or paying online.
4. I used to pay by phone, and I don't have a computer. What are my options?
Option 1: Mail your payment to:
Pekin Insurance
2505 Court Street
Pekin, IL 61558-0001
Option 2: Contact your agent to enroll in EFT (Electronic Fund Transfer), which securely transfers your payment each time your bill is due.
5. Can I still mail in my credit card form?
We no longer accept mailed-in credit card forms for security reasons. You may use your credit card through our One Time Guest Payment service on our website. A service fee will apply. To avoid this fee, you may also pay from your bank account.
6. What if I am currently signed up for recurring credit/debit card payments?
Existing recurring payments through our current vendor will continue until early 2025. If your credit card expires or you need to change it, you'll need to cancel your current setup and make guest payments via One Inc. Alternatively, you can set up recurring bank drafts.
7. What will I be charged for using a credit/debit card?
A 2.99% service fee will be applied to credit or debit card payments. This fee goes directly to the third-party vendor, One Inc. Pekin Insurance does not retain any portion of this fee.
8. Who do I contact for support with the payment system?
For support, please contact our office at 800-322-0160 and ask for your appropriate insurance billing department.
