Pekin, Illinois – August 26, 2024 – Pekin Insurance^® is proud to announce the successful conclusion of its annual United Way Week, held from Monday, July 15 through Friday, July 19, 2024. This year, the event raised $24,000 from employees, with the company matching every dollar for a total contribution of $48,000. 

Employees enthusiastically participated in a variety of creative fundraising activities, including raffling themed baskets, a premium parking space raffle, a pet photo contest, a Type Racer competition (an online typing skills game), a Penny Wars game (employees vote for a department by adding pennies to a jar), and "Dress Your Brand" days (employees wear attire that reflects their personal style). These engaging events not only fostered a sense of community but also highlighted the generous spirit of Pekin Insurance employees. 

Throughout the week, employees enjoyed special perks such as a taco and nacho bar hosted by the executive team, ice cream sandwiches for sale, and a dine-to-donate event at Jimbo's Jumbo (a local Pekin restaurant). Additionally, employees who donated $250 or more were rewarded with a cookie delivery from Operation Cookies or an Amazon Gift Card.
